Thanks for a very helpful piece on a framework for ABMs. I am a PhD student in my second year, wanting to incorporate ABM into my research. After reading your write-up, I am convinced that I will be using your framework to guide my work. Can you kindly advise what in your opinion is a reasonable time frame to design and develop an ABM. I am yet to find any suggestions in my search of ABM literature.

We are a project team at AI for Good London (https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-pzvZdizC/) and I came across a post you made on CoMSES discourse forum. We are currently developing models to help refugee camp authority how to prepare for the corona virus outbreak and here is our first iteration https://www.aiforgoodsimulator.com/. The PhD student who helped us develop this model had to engage on his Phd Studies so we are in search of modelling experts to collaborate with to push this project forward. There is obviously a long way to go for our simple Netlogo model on the website but I am wondering if you or your students are interested in pitching for our project?
I have attached a presentation that we did at a hackathon over the weekend. Happy to have a call to walk you through why we think your work will be very valuable in helping refugee camps to prepare for the potential outbreaks.

After two years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at least 6 million people have fled Ukraine to escape the conflict and another 5 million people are internally displaced.
Leaving behind their homes, jobs and loved ones, Ukrainians urgently need shelter, food and water. More than 17 million people, almost half the population, require humanitarian aid.
Life for the people of Ukraine has completely changed. Fighting and indiscriminate bombing has killed families and destroyed houses, schools and hospitals. Millions in displacement centres and damaged homes face temperatures below -20C.
An estimated 1.4 million houses have been damaged by the war, and it is mostly older people and people with disabilities who remain behind in homes with leaking roofs, broken windows and no access to heating.
